If you wear make-up you have to try the new Covergirl Clean line! It's lightweight, has good coverage, long lasting and does what it says it will do.
First off I want to make it clear that I do not use the color's shown in the pictures. For foundation I use "Classic Ivory" and for powder I use a darker shade "Creamy Natural". I could actually use a shade darker in powder but I don't really want a fake look.
With this foundation I get flawless coverage that will last all day.
The first day I tried this I had a terrible acne break out, the foundation covered every blemish and they were un-noticible, the powder added a perfect finish.
I will give you a quick step by step lesson on how to apply make-up the easy and cheap way without buying expensive primers and such:
First you will need some make-up brushes, sponges DO NOT work well with liquid make-up if you have dry area's of skin or if your skin is uneven. You will also need some lotion, any kind as long as it gives your face a soft feel, keep in mind that you don't need anything extremely oily.
Step 1: Apply lotion to your face, this act's as a primer. I use Olay or Johnson's Baby Lotion. Use approximately a penny size amount or less depending on the lotion. After smoothing the lotion over your face wait at least 2 minutes and give all the lotion time to dry.
Step 2: Next you use your foundation. If you do not have a foundation brush you can use a concealer brush or just your finger tips, I do recommend using the Eco Tool Brushes, they are inexpensive and very soft, they also are perfect quality and last a long time if taken care of. Put a small dot of foundation on your applicator and gently dab a little foundation in small dots all over your face, then smooth it in. After the foundation has been smoothed over your face check the area's of your face such as the neck, sides and under your eyes to make sure you don't need a little more. Always remember, you can add but you can't take away, basically don't use a lot, you can always add more later.
Step 3: Your ready for powder. Use a powder brush or all purpose face brush and apply the powder evenly all over your face, always use a shade darker in powder to give your skin a glowing tan look.
Finished: You should now have a natural look that is flawless. After you do these three steps you would next want to add your blush, bronzer or whatever and then do your eyes.
If you don't use other products that's fine, natural is the most beautiful look and if your using eye shadows, blushes, bronzers and all that it is always best to stay within a natural range of color. Too much color can be a little to fake for everyday life.
Keep in mind that you can use your powder/all purpose brush for blush also but it is best to use a different brush for bronzer.
To ensure the life of your brushes use a towel and swipe the brushes back and forth 4 times to clean them after each use. If you need to clean your brushes use baby shampoo and wash them, do not get water around the metal area of the brush, moisturize brushes with shampoo using your fingertips, run water over them until the water runs off clear then swipe them over a towel to get access make-up off, then let them air dry, air drying can take 24 hours.
